I purchased a Bamboo tablet and pen several years ago to use with Flash and Fireworks (and hopefully soon Photoshop).
I used to only use the pen when I was trying to do graphics, but I have found over the past few months, that the pen makes a much better mouse!
It is so much more accurate than that clunky mouse! I can point to exactly what I want, and the pen has both a right and left button
on it (just like a Windows mouse).
There are some great free programs for writing out problems in math and sending them to my students. When I use a Windows machine, I use the Windows Journal, but now that I am mostly on a Mac, I use Jarnal
Using the pen instead of a mouse made for a very easy transition to my Mobi (from eInstruction)!
I highly recommend getting and using it for everything on your computer.
I was wondering how well Jarnal works. You have inspired me to try it as I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet sitting on the shelf at home. :-0)
Oh no! Take that tablet off the shelf! I guarantee you will never want to use a mouse again, once you get used to using the pen as a mouse. I use Jarnal to answer some student questions, when color and highlighting is important, and the the writing on the tablet in Jarnal is MUCH smoother than any other whiteboard (for computer) I have tried! If I am away from my computer and color doesn’t matter, then I use my Livescribe pen to answer student questions.
Hey, thanks for the review!
We’re glad you’ve discovered the Bamboo Pen & Touch and are excited to see that you’ve paired it with Windows Journal and Jarnal.

I just updated to the Intuos4 small and I am INCREDIBLY impressed! I never thought I could love it more than my Bamboo, but I do! Thanks for making such a great tablet, Wacom!!!
By the way, you can record audio and video by using Jing to get the screen capture (that is how I got the screen shot). Jing is free, too!
